Front Caliper: Reassembly

Apply rubber grease to piston seal. Wash inner wall and piston with brake fluid. Install piston by hand. Ensure piston seal and dust boot are positioned correctly.

1. Coat piston seal with Silicone Compound (725191050) and insert into cylinder by hand. Coat piston, piston boots and cylinder wall with brake fluid. Hand insert piston. Install boot and retainer. Lightly coat spindle and "O" ring with silicone grease.
2. Insert spindle and install spring washers with Puller (925471000). Lubricate and install connecting link (thick side in spindle head slot). Install lever and spindle assembly. Ensure hooked portion of return spring is installed into groove of lever and spindle. See Fig 1 .
3. Remove puller. Install snap ring at end of lever and spindle. Install lever cap and cap retainer. Clean fitting hole of guide pin in caliper body. Evenly tap guide pin boot into fitting hole. Make sure boot is not damaged.
