Removal & Installation (Solid Lifters)

Remove lifters from crankcase. Inspect lifter for wear. Inspect lifter bore in crankcase for damage or excessive wear. Measure outer diameter of lifter and inside diameter of lifter bore to determine clearance. Clearance is .0012-.0028" (.030-.07 mm). Replace lifter if lifter-to-bore clearance exceeds .004" (.10 mm).
