Cylinder Block Overhaul: Reassembly

  1. Install crankshaft bearings to cylinder block halves. Install crankshaft into the left side of cylinder block half having No. 2 and No. 4 cylinders. Clean mating surfaces of cylinder block and apply liquid gasket. Install water jacket "O" ring. Back ring up into the cylinder block half possessing No. 2 and No. 4 cylinders.
  2. Tighten cylinder block halves and cylinder heads in sequence to specified torque. To complete reassembly, reverse disassembly procedure. Make sure to check crankshaft thrust clearance.
