Vehicle Rises Abnormally
- If vehicle height is excessive, check for defective height sensor, control unit, solenoid valve or wire circuit. Inspect for blown fuses No. 12 or 19. If necessary, replace fuse and/or repair circuit.
- If fuses are not blown, check for minimum of 10 volts between control unit terminals No. 31 (ignition) and 20 (ground). If 10 volts is not available, an open exists in terminals No. 31 or 20. If 10 volts is read, press height control switch. If voltage falls below 10 volts, inspect ignition power input to height control switch.
- If there is voltage present, repair wiring between ignition switch and height control switch. If voltage present, repair wiring between height control switch and control unit. If 10 volts or more appear while pressing height control switch, proceed to step 4).
- Verify height indicator light illuminates when switch is operated. If not, check if light comes on when control unit terminal No. 2 is grounded. See Figure . If power is available and light bulb is not broken, replace control unit.
- If height indicator light does not go out when switch is operated, remove 2 control unit connectors. If light remains on, repair wiring between height indicator light and control unit. If light goes out, replace control unit. Verify solenoid valves and air lines operate freely.
