Push Rods

  1. Check for damage or bend and replace if necessary. Check oil hole for clogging and wear. Bend limit is .016" (.4 mm). Measure overall length of push rods.
  2. For 1.6L engines, measurement should read 8.62-8.64" (219-219.4 mm). For 1.8L engines with solid lifters, measurement should read 9.08-9.10" (230.7-231.1 mm). For 1.8L engines with hydraulic lifters, measurement should read 9.12-9.14" (231.7-232.2 mm).
