Fuel Gauge

  1. On Standard and DL Hatchback models, turn ignition off. If gauge does not drop below "E", replace it. On all models, unplug fuel tank sender. Connect appropriate resistor between sending unit wire and ground.
  2. A 7 ohm resistor should make gauge read empty, 33 ohm resistor should make gauge read 1/2 full, and a 95 ohm resistor should make gauge read full.
