ISSUE & TIP
A loose engine ground may cause a rough idle or engine miss on 1985-87 Subarus equipped with multiport fuel injection. No codes will be stored in the ECU.
The ground wire is located on the right side of the intake manifold. Remove the bolt that secures the ground wire, clean and buff the connection, install a lock washer under the bolt, then torque the manifold bolt to specifications.
