While rotating hub, tighten nut until no end play is evident. Loosen nut one to two flats to line up cotter pin and install cotter pin. End float should be measured with suitable dial indicator and must be 0.003 - 0.005" (0.076 - 0.127 mm) except XKE III V12 which is 0.002 - 0.006" (0.050 - 0.152 mm). If not within specifications, adjust stud axle nut to correct end float.
