Speaker output, general 

A distinction is made between the following procedures:

• Speaker output in vehicles with code 810 (Sound system) 
• Speaker output in vehicles except CODE 810 (Sound system) 
• Speaker actuation in the event of voice output 

Speaker output in vehicles with code 810 (Sound system) 

The audio signals are routed in an analog manner via twisted lines to the sound system amplifier control unit (N40/3) where they undergo final amplification and are output via the following speakers using direct lines:

• Left front door speaker (H4/5)
• Right front door speaker (H4/6)
• Left rear speaker (H4/7) (only model 453.0)
• Right rear speaker (H4/8) (only model 453.0)
• Center instrument panel speaker (H4/27)
• Bass speaker (H4/29)
• Left mirror triangle tweeter (H4/33)
• Right mirror triangle tweeter (H4/34)
• Left rear tweeter (H4/35) (model 453.0 only)
• Right rear tweeter (H4/36) (model 453.0 only)
• Left rear surround speaker (H4/54) (model 453.0/3 only)
• Right rear surround speaker (H4/55) (model 453.0/3 only)

Speaker output in vehicles except code 810 (Sound system) and with code 535 (smart media system) 

The audio signals are output via the following speakers by the audio equipment using direct lines:

• Left front door speaker (H4/5)
• Right front door speaker (H4/6)
• Left rear speaker (H4/7) (only model 453.0)
• Right rear speaker (H4/8) (only model 453.0)
• Left mirror triangle tweeter (H4/33) (vehicles up to and including model year 2017)
• Right mirror triangle tweeter (H4/34) (vehicles up to and including model year 2017)

On vehicles as of model year 2018, the front tweeters are built into the left front door speaker and right front door speaker.

Speaker output in vehicles except code 810 (Sound system) and code 537 (smart Audio-System) 

The audio signals are output via the following speakers by the audio equipment using direct lines:

• Left front door speaker (H4/5)
• Right front door speaker (H4/6)

Speaker actuation in the event of voice output 

The following speakers are actuated for voice output (e.g. as part of telephony, navigation or the voice control system (VCS)):

• Left front door speaker (H4/5)
• Right front door speaker (H4/6)
• Left rear speaker (H4/7) (only model 453.0)
• Right rear speaker (H4/8) (only model 453.0)
• Left mirror triangle tweeter (H4/33) (vehicles with code 810 (Sound system) and vehicles with code 535 (smart media system) up to and including model year 2017)
• Right mirror triangle tweeter (H4/34) (vehicles with code 810 (Sound system) and vehicles with code 535 (smart media system) up to and including model year 2017)
