  Risk of death  caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform. Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer. AS00.00-Z-0010-01A 
INSPECT Check     
1 Check the turntables of the vehicle lift for damage IMPORTANT The turntables of the vehicle lift must not be damaged.
In case of damage

Replace a defective turntable.
 
  Securing     
2 Lift vehicle on vehicle lift Model 453.091/391/491
IMPORTANT Align the turn plates so that the screws of the rubber pads on the turn plates cannot come into contact with vehicle parts while jacking up.
 
3 Guide or suspend the tensioning strap (1) as shown over the carrier (3) and around the front vehicle lift swivel arm (2) IMPORTANT Depending on the version of the tensioning strap (1) used.
IMPORTANT Use tensioning strap (1) with following properties:
Maximum elongation: 7%
Standard force of the hand: 50 daN
Standard application force: 560 daN
Permissible lashing force: 5000 daN
 
4 Guide tensioning strap (1) as shown around the rear vehicle lift swivel arm (5) and tension using the belt buckle (4)    
5 Perform operation steps 3 and 4 on opposite side of vehicle.    
6 Lower vehicle with lifting platform    
7.1 Open both rear doors Model 453.0  
7.2 Open both doors Model 453.3/4  
8 Release the cup holder (6) and move to the front along with the connected electrical wiring harness Model 453.3/4
except code J59 (Center armrest)
 
9.1 Cover left and right rear entrance area using suitable rags and route tensioning strap (7) through footwell in rear Model 453.0
IMPORTANT Use tensioning strap (7) with following properties:
Maximum elongation: 7 %
Standard force of the hand: 50 daN
Standard application force: 560 daN
Permissible lashing force: 5000 daN
 
9.2 Cover left and right entrance area using suitable rags and route tensioning strap (7) behind the seats through the passenger compartment Model 453.3
Model 453.4
IMPORTANT Use tensioning strap (7) with following properties:
Maximum elongation: 7 %
Standard force of the hand: 50 daN
Standard application force: 560 daN
Permissible lashing force: 5000 daN
 
10 Route or suspend tensioning strap (7) around right and left rear vehicle lift swivel arm (5) IMPORTANT Depending on the version of the tensioning strap (7) used.  
11 Tension tensioning strap (7) in passenger compartment using the belt buckle (8)    
12 Release in the reverse order
