Brake Tight Actuation, Function - GF82.10-P-3010KJ
MODEL 453.0/3/4
Function requirements, general
- No overvoltage or undervoltage
- Engine running (except model 453.091/391/491)
- Drivetrain operational (status "READY") (model 453.091/391/491)
Brake light actuation, general
The brake light actuation design can be adapted. In the event of emergency braking the brake lights on the vehicles are actuated to flash on and off.
Brake light actuation function sequence
The status of the brake light switch (S9/1) is read in directly by the center SAM control unit (N10/10) and driver-side SAM control unit (N10/11).
If the center SAM control unit detects an actuation of the service brake, it places the status of the brake light switch on the interior CAN (CAN B). The driver-side SAM control unit evaluates the information on the interior CAN and the status of the brake light switch and actuates the following components:
- Left brake light (E3e4) (with standard equipment)
- Right brake light (E4e4) (with standard equipment)
- Left taillight and brake light (E3e17) (with code P25 (LED & sensor package))
- Right taillight and brake light (E4e17) (with code P25 (LED & sensor package))
- Center brake lamp (E21)
If a brake light fails, the driver-side SAM control unit transmits a fault message to the instrument cluster (A1), which then issues a warning message to the driver.
