Remove Main Floor Panel - Ar63.40-P-1180-09SR

Model 453.3/4 

  1. Expose spot welds on reinforcement (1) and cut out (areas B 1 , B2 and B3 ).

  2. Expose MIG solder seam on reinforcement (1) and grind off (areas A 1 , A2 , A3 , A4 , A5 and A6 ).
  3. Remove reinforcement (1).
  4. Expose spot welds on crossmember (2) and cut out (area C).

  5. Remove crossmember (2).
  6. Expose spot welds on seal console (3) and cut out (areas D1 , D 2 and D3 ).
  7. Expose MIG solder seam on seat console (3) and grind off (areas E 1 , E2 and E3 ).
  8. Remove seat console (3).
  9. Scribe separating point on main floor (4) and cut (area H).

    NOTES Do not cut too deeply.

    Otherwise the components below can be damaged and weakened.

    IMPORTANTDimensions: 

    a = approx. 20 mm

  10. Expose spot welds on main floor (4) and cut out (areas F1 , F2 , F3 and F 4 ).
  11. Heat main floor (4) and heat gun in crosshatched areas.

    IMPORTANT Crosshatched areas are bonded.

  12. Remove main floor panel (4).
  13. Grind mating surfaces down to bare metal in the crosshatched inner C-pillar sidewall.

    IMPORTANT Sand down spot weld flanges to bare metal on both sides.

  14. Remove grinding dust and drill chips.
  15. Coat insides of spot weld flanges with zinc dust paint.

    NOTES Do not coat bonding surfaces with zinc dust paint (areas G1 and G2 ).

    Otherwise adhesion problems may occur.
