Remove Longitudinal Member Outer Shell On Entrance - Ar63.30-P-1102-01SRA

The following steps are shown on the left side of the vehicle and must be performed analogously on the right side in the event of damage.
- Mark separating point on longitudinal member outer shell on entry (3) and cut (area A).
Do not cut too deeply.
Otherwise the components below can be damaged and weakened.
- Expose spot welds on A-pillar outer section (1), outer rear reinforcement (2) and longitudinal member shell on entry (3) and cut out (areas B, C, D, E, F, G, H, J, K and L).
Cut out weld spots through two sheet metal thicknesses (area L).
- Remove A-pillar outer section (1), outer rear reinforcement (2) and longitudinal member shell on entry (3).
- Grind mating surfaces down to bare metal in the crosshatched inner C-pillar sidewall.
Sand down spot weld flanges to bare metal on both sides.
- Remove grinding dust and drill chips.
- Coat insides of spot weld flanges with zinc dust paint.
