Location 

The brake booster vacuum pump control unit (N65/3) is installed in the engine compartment directly above the transmission.

Task 

The brake booster vacuum pump control unit regulates the vacuum supply for the brake booster and has the following tasks:

Reading in of sensors and signals 

Input factors are read in by means of the following connections:

Evaluation of input factors 

The input factors that have been read in are evaluated by the integrated microprocessor and the affected components are then actuated.

Output of signals and actuation of components 

Initial parameter are output over the following connections:

The brake booster vacuum pump control unit evaluates the following input signals and issues the corresponding output signals:

Structure 

The brake booster vacuum pump control unit consists of a plastic housing with two plug connectors and an internal control unit.

Ground connection 

The "circuit 31" ground connection occurs via a ground line.

Voltage supply 

The brake booster vacuum pump control unit is supplied with a power from "circuit 30 fused" and, with the ignition ON, from "circuit 15 fused".
