Retrofit Side Spoiler On Longitudinal Member Panel - AZ88.30-P-0017-01SR

MODEL 453.3/4 

The following operation steps describe left side spoiler (1) retrofit. Retrofit right side spoiler (1) mirror-inverted.

1. Clean longitudinal member in cross-hatched area.

   The area to be glued must be free of dust and grease.

   Otherwise adhesion problems may occur.

2. Remove carrier foil (1.3) and glue bonding ring (1.2) onto bracket (1.1).

   Perform operation step on all brackets (1.1).

   Install bonding ring (1.2) on white and red carrier foil (1.3). It not relevant for installation which side of the bonding ring (1.2) is glued onto the bracket (1.1).

3. Remove carrier foils from brackets (1.1).
4. Position brackets (1.1) on corresponding hole on longitudinal member and glue to longitudinal member.

5. Remove screw/bolt (2).
6. Remove adhesive foil (3) and remove adhesive residues.

7. Clean side spoiler (1) in crosshatched areas.
8. Glue double-sided adhesive tape (1.5) to cross-hatched areas.

   Carrier foils (1.6) should not protrude more than approx. 2 cm at the ends.

9. Fold over carrier foils (1.6) to outside at an angle of 45°.

10. Position side spoiler (1).

    Helper required.

11. Tighten screw/bolt (2) slightly by hand.
12. Lightly press on side spoiler (1) and pull out carrier foils (1.6).

    Permanently check whether side spoiler (1) is correctly aligned while pulling out protective foils (1.6).

    It is no longer possible to reposition after bonding.

13. Press on side spoiler (1) from outside toward inside.

    When pressing on, ensure that the pressure is applied directly on the adhesive strips. The maximum adhesive strength is only reached after approx.

    72 h at 20 °C. Avoid any contact with moisture (e.g. rain, fog, frost, carwash) or any mechanical stress within the first 24 h.

    Otherwise adhesion problems may occur.

14. Tighten bolts (2) fully.
15. Clean side spoiler (1) in bonding area of emblem (1.7).
16. Glue emblem (1.7) to side spoiler (1).

17. Tighten bolts (1.8) from side spoiler (1).
