Attach Trim Piece On Mirror Housing - AZ88.70-P-0001-01SR

MODEL 453.0/3/4 

The work procedure is shown on model 453.3 on left side of vehicle. The work procedure is to be performed analogously on the right side of the vehicle.

1. Clean outside mirror housing in crosshatched area.

   The area to be glued must be free of dust and grease.

   Otherwise adhesion problems may occur.

2. Remove protective foils (1.1) from extending ends approx.

   10 mm and press on again lightly.

3. Fold over ends of protective foils (1.1) toward outside at an angle of 45°.
4. Position trim piece (1) on outside mirror housing.

   Ensure that trim piece (1) is aligned exactly.

5. Slightly press on trim piece (1) and pull out protective foils (1.1).

   Permanently check whether trim piece (1) is correctly aligned while pulling out protective foils (11).

   It is no longer possible to reposition after bonding.

6. Press on trim piece (1) from outside toward inside.

   Exert pressure directly to adhesive points on trim pieces (1). The maximum adhesive strength is only reached after approx. 72 h at 20 °C. Avoid any contact with moisture (e.g. frost, rain, fog, frost, carwash) or any mechanical stress during first 24 h.

   Otherwise adhesion problems may occur.

7. Clean trim piece (1).

Do not polish trim piece (1). Otherwise the surface can be damaged.
