	Preparatory activity
1	Switch electronic ignition lock control unit to position "2" (circuit 15)
	Check
2	Check 12 V battery warning lamp (1)	The 12 V battery warning lamp (1) must light up. If there is a problem

		Rectify problem subject to separate repair order.
3	Check door ajar warning lamp (2)	The door ajar warning lamp (2) must light up. If there is a problem
		↓
		Rectify problem subject to separate repair order.
4	Check operational readiness display indicator lamp (3)	The operational readiness display indicator lamp (3) must light up. If there is a problem
		↓
		Rectify problem subject to separate repair order.
5	Manually switch on the exterior lights
6	Check instrument illumination	All pointer instruments, speedometer (5), tachometer, high-voltage battery consumption display (6), high-voltage battery charge level display (7) and clock must be illuminated and the background illumination of the multifunction display (4) must be activated. If there is a problem

		Rectify problem subject to separate repair order.
7	Check multifunction display (4) for visible pixel errors	If the multifunction display (4) exhibits vertical stripes, failed segments or black dots
		↓
		Rectify problem subject to separate repair order.
8	Manually switch off exterior lights
9	Switch on lamps in passenger compartment and check for proper operation	Check inside rear-view mirror, reading, mirror and glove compartment lamps. If there is a problem

		Rectify problem subject to separate repair order.

10	Reset switch positions to input condition
11	Switch electronic ignition lock control unit to position "0"
