Install And Weld In Wheel Well - Ar62.20-P-1200-17SR

The following steps are shown on the left side of the vehicle and must be accomplished analogously on the right side in the event of damage.
- Install longitudinal member (4), fit and fix in place.
- Drill 6.7 mm rivet holes in longitudinal member (4) (area S).
- Remove longitudinal member (4).
- Deburr rivet holes on longitudinal member (4) and body on both sides.
- Install longitudinal member (4), fit and fix in place.
- Rivet longitudinal member (4) with 6.5 x 12.5 rivets (area S).
- Drill out longitudinal member (4) with a 7 mm bit one sheet metal thickness (area T).

- Install longitudinal member end plate (3), fit and fix in place.
- Drill longitudinal member end plate (3) with 6.7 mm bit (areas V 1 and V2 ).
- Remove longitudinal member end plate (3).
- Deburr rivet holes longitudinal member end plate (3) and body on both sides.
- Remove drilling shavings with wet/dry vacuum cleaner.
- Coat insides of riveted joints with zinc dust paint.
- Install longitudinal member end plate (3), fit and fix in place.
- Rivet longitudinal member end plate (3) with 6.5 x 12.5 rivets (areas V1 and V2 ).
- Longitudinal member (4)
(areas U1 , U 2 , U3 and U4 ).
- Longitudinal member (4)
(area X).
- Install suspension strut tower (2), fit and fix in place.
- Drill suspension strut tower (2) with 6.7 mm bit (area Z).

- Remove suspension strut tower (2).
- Deburr rivet holes on suspension strut tower (2) and body on both sides.
- Remove drilling shavings with wet/dry vacuum cleaner.
- Coat insides of riveted joints with zinc dust paint.
- Install suspension strut tower (2), fit and fix in place.
- Rivet suspension strut tower (2) with 6.5 x 12.5 rivets (area Z).
- Suspension strut tower (2)
(areas Y1 , Y2 and Y3 ).
- Suspension strut tower (2)
(area ZZ).
- Install A-pillar end plate (1), fit and fix in place.
- A-pillar end plate (1)
(areas AA, AC and AD).
- A-pillar end plate (1)
(area AB).
Inert gas weld in intervals and allow welding area to cool down in between. Reduces heat distortion.
