| Remove/install | |||
| 1 | Reduce vacuum in brake booster (4) by depressing brake pedal several times | ||
| 2 | Remove brake fluid reservoir | AR42.10-P-0301SR | |
| 3 | Identify brake lines (2) at the corresponding connections | ||
| 4 | Detach brake lines (2) from master brake cylinder (1) and seal connections | *BA42.10-P-1003-04SR | |

| 5 | Unscrew nuts (3) | *BA42.10-P-1001-05M | |
| 6 | Pull out master brake cylinder (1) directly forward out of brake booster (4) | Do not tilt master brake cylinder (1). The push rod will otherwise be pressed out of its axial position. Collect brake fluid which runs out with an absorbent rag. Otherwise the vehicle paint may be damaged. |
