Partially Remove Outer Longitudinal Member Inner Shell On Entrance - Ar63.30-P-1143-01SRA

- Mark separating points on rear wheel well (1) and cut (areas A and B).
Do not make the cuts too deep.
Otherwise the components below can be damaged and weakened.
Determine separating points according to damage profile.
- Expose spot welds on rear wheel well (1) and cut out (areas C 1 , C2 and C 3 ).
- Remove rear wheel well (1).
- Expose spot welds on reinforcement (2) and cut out (areas D 1 and D2 ).
- Remove reinforcement (2).
- Expose spot welds on longitudinal member inner shell on entry (3) and cut out (areas E1 , E2 , E3, and E4 ).
- Remove longitudinal member inner shell on entry (3).
- Grind mating surfaces down to bare metal in the crosshatched inner C-pillar sidewall.
Sand down spot weld flanges to bare metal on both sides.
- Remove grinding dust and drill chips.
- Coat insides of spot weld flanges with zinc dust paint.
