- Fit A-pillar outer section (2) and upper A-pillar outer section (3) with portal straightening set.
- Fix A-pillar outer section (2) and upper A-pillar outer section (3) in place.
- A-pillar outer section (2) and upper A-pillar outer section (3)
(area M, N and O).
- Upper A-pillar outer section (3)
(area L).
- A-pillar outer section (2)
(area H).
Inert gas weld in intervals and allow welding area to cool down in between. Reduces heat distortion.
- Fit A-pillar paneling (1) together with upper front longitudinal member using portal straightening set.
- Fix A-pillar paneling (1) and upper front longitudinal member in place.
- Drill 6.7 mm rivet holes on A-pillar paneling (1) (area B and D).
- Remove upper front longitudinal member.
- Drill remaining rivet holes on A-pillar paneling (1) with 6.7 mm (area B, C, and E).
- Countersink rivet holes on A-pillar paneling (1) (area B, C, D and E).
- Remove A-pillar paneling (1).
- Apply 2-component adhesive in crosshatched area on body (area G).
- Install A-pillar paneling (1), fit and fix in place.
- Rivet A-pillar paneling (1) with blind rivets with 6.4 x 14.0 countersunk head (area B 1 , C1 , D1 and E1 ).
- A-pillar paneling (1)

- Drill A-pillar paneling (1) with 7 mm bit to depth equal to thickness of one sheet metal panel (area F1 ).
- A-pillar paneling (1)

Blind rivets with 6.4 x 14.0 countersunk head on A- pillar paneling (1) are partially riveted when installing front longitudinal member (area B 1 and D 1 ).
- A-pillar paneling (1)
(area A).
- Drill A-pillar paneling (1) with 7 mm bit to depth equal to thickness of one sheet metal panel (area A 1 ).
- A-pillar paneling (1)
(area A1).
- Grind inert gas welds down flat.
- Clean weld joints.
