	Remove/install
1	Remove paneling from inside of liftgate (1)	Model 453.0
2	Remove liftgate latch (2)	Model 453.0	AR72.20-P-4065SR
3	Unclip trunk lid/liftgate release switch (S15/1) through door lock opening (2) on catch tabs (3) and remove trunk lid/liftgate release switch (S15/1) until electrical connection (4) is accessible	Model 453.0 Clip remover	Figure
4	Mark position of lock striker (6) on liftgate (1)	Model 453.3
5	Unscrew bolts (5) and remove lock striker (6)	Model 453.3 : Position lock striker (6) with the aid of the applied marks.
6	Unscrew bolts of trunk lid/liftgate release switch (S15/1)	Model 453.3 Bolts on trunk lid/liftgate release switch (S15/1) are located below lock striker (6).
7	Disconnect electrical connection (4) and remove trunk lid/liftgate release switch (S15/1)
8	Install in the reverse order
	Check
9	Check function of trunk lid/liftgate release switch (S15/1) by mechanically locking the liftgate latch (2)
