Install Rear Spoiler - AZ88.00-P-0008-01SR

  1. Clean bonding surface in cross-hatched area.

  2. Position and center rear spoiler (1).
  3. Mark position of rear spoiler (1) with strips of adhesive tape (2).
  4. Cut adhesive strips (2) pointing in direction of travel between body and rear spoiler (1).

  5. Apply primer to bonding surfaces in cross-hatched area.

    NOTES Apply primer only to bonding surface. Otherwise the paint in the visual area can be damaged.

    IMPORTANT Observe manufacturers specification for drying and pressing time of primer.

  6. Clean bonding surfaces on rear spoiler (1).
  7. Glue on double-sided adhesive tape as shown.

    IMPORTANT Carrier foils (1.1) should not protrude more than approx. 2 cm at the ends.

  8. Fold over carrier foils (1.1) to outside at an angle of 45°.
  9. Apply glue in cross-hatched areas.

  10. Position rear spoiler (1) and align at adhesive strips (2).
  11. Lightly press on rear spoiler (1) and pull out carrier foils (1.1).

    NOTES Permanently check whether rear spoiler (1) is correctly aligned while pulling out protective foils (1.1). It is no longer possible to reposition after bonding.

  12. Firmly press on rear spoiler (1) with clean cotton rag starting at outside in direction of center of rear spoiler (1).

    NOTES When pressing on, ensure that the pressure is applied directly on the adhesive strips. The maximum adhesive strength is only reached after approx.

    72 h at 20 °C. Avoid any contact with moisture (e.g. rain, fog, frost, carwash) or any mechanical stress within the first 24 h. Otherwise adhesion problems may occur.

  13. Remove adhesive strips (2).
