Audio/navigation, operating description (general) 

The functions and menu guidance for the driver information system are shown on the touchscreen (A40/3p1) of the smart radio multimedia navigator (A40/3). The driver information system can be operated with the following controls:

• Multimedia operating unit (N24) of the smart radio multimedia navigator 
• Smart Radio Multimedia Navigator touchscreen 
• Right multifunction steering wheel button group (S111) 
• Voice control system (VCS [SBS]) 

Multimedia operating unit (N24) of the smart radio multimedia navigator 

The multimedia operating unit is located on the left side of the smart radio multimedia navigator. The "Mute function and page through menu" button and "Home" button support menu navigation.

Smart Radio Multimedia Navigator touchscreen 

The touchscreen is a 7-inch display of the smart radio multimedia navigator. Touch operation enables navigation in the menus.

Right multifunction steering wheel button group (S111) 

The right multifunction steering wheel button group is located on the multifunction steering wheel and permits the driver to operate the driver information system without taking the hands off the steering wheel.

Voice control system (VCS [SBS]) 

The voice control system is switched on and off at the right multifunction steering wheel button group. When the VCS [SBS] is switched on, the functions of the driver information system can be operated using voice commands in dialog with the VCS [SBS]. The voice control system can be controlled by spelling out or entering complete words.
