1	Remove brake lines from hydraulic unit (6) to rear axle	Remove brake lines from hydraulic unit (6) to rear axle only as far as it takes for the bracket (5) to be unscrewed.	AR42.10-P-0035MCC
2	Remove right front wheel		AR40.10-P-1100MCC
3	Remove front axle carrier support	Model 451.391/491 except code 494 (US version)	AR33.10-P-0002MEV

4	Remove screws/bolts on front axle carrier support	Remove/install support of front axle carrier. Model 451.390/392/490/492 except code 494 (US version) except code V03 (Battery cooling system)	AR33.10-P-0002MEX
5	Loosen nuts (3), unscrew screws/bolts (4) and remove bracket (5)	: Move guide pin (7) on hydraulic unit (6) into bracket (5). Screw/bolt, ESP hydraulic unit bracket to floor panel	*BA42.45-P-1008-01F
6	Support hydraulic unit (6) using telescopic lifter and removal fixture

7	Check color coding of threaded connections of brake lines (8) to hydraulic unit (6)	: Label brake lines (8) accordingly.	AR42.10-P-0013-05MCC
8	Loosen and disconnect threaded connections of brake lines (8) to hydraulic unit (6)	Collect brake fluid in a suitable container. Seal connections using suitable plugs. : Use 12 mm plug-in open end wrench. Do not bend brake lines (8), pay attention to routing, leaktightness and clearance.	AR42.10-P-0034MCC
		Brake line to ESP hydraulic unit	*BA42.10-P-1010-04E
		If a brake line (8) with red color coding has been loosened, this brake line (8) must be replaced. ↓ Replace brake line (8).	AR42.10-P-0034MCC
9	Lower the hydraulic unit (6) carefully until the brake line (1) is accessible
10	Unclip retaining clips (9) and rpm sensor connector (L6/2x1) from brake line (1) and unclip brake line (1) from brackets (10)
11	Check color coding of threaded connections of brake line (1) to the hydraulic unit (6) and the brake hose (11)	: Label brake line (1) accordingly.	AR42.10-P-0013-05MCC
12	Loosen threaded connections of the brake line (1) to the hydraulic unit (6) and the brake hose (11) and separate	Collect brake fluid in a suitable container. Seal connections using suitable plugs. : Do not bend brake line (1), pay attention to routing, leaktightness and clearance. Brake line to brake hose	*BA42.10-P-1002-04E

15	Replace brake line (1).	Only if the brake line (1) with the red color coding has been detached.
16	Install in the reverse order
