Certain parts kits for brake linings of the front axle in model series 222 and 231 have a semicircular cutout on the pad backing plate.

• MODEL 222 except CODE Z07 (Highest protection)
  • A 007 420 32 20
• MODEL 222 with CODE Z07 (Highest protection)
  • A 000 420 57 00
• MODEL 231
  • A 006 420 49 20
  • A 007 420 40 20

They are bound to a specific running direction and are identified in the parts kit by a number on the pad backing plate.

The numbers printed on the pad backing plate are for orientation with regard to the installation position of the brake linings and are not to be used for parts identification in the EPC.
