Depending on the degree of weathering, the paintwork does not usually need care products in the first few months. Washing at regular intervals is all that is required. We recommend washing the vehicle regularly so that aggressive contaminants adhering to the paint surface such as bird excrement, tree resin, insects and traces of acid are removed.

1. Manual wash 

   Hose off as much dirt (sand, dust) as possible beforehand. Where possible clean with a soft brush with water flowing through it while using a neutral shampoo. Rinse off with clean water. Sponges and cloths are less satisfactory for the external skin. Use separate items for the wheels, bumpers etc. if possible.

   For drying use a clean, non-scratching chamois leather or household cloths. Do not leave drops and runs of water to dry in the sun.

2. Car wash 

   The car wash must be in proper working order. Clean brushes, correct contact pressure, adequate quantities of water, adequate quantities of neutral champoos and separate brushes for wheels and entry way steps are the most important prerequisites.

   A general pre-wash with a high-pressure or steam cleaning equipment creates the right conditions for a gentle wash.

   High alkaline or high acid detergents, such as are sometimes used in car washes for washing the car, pre-washing or cleaning the wheels, may cause damage to the paintwork and to metal parts.
