	Check
	Risk of death  caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.	Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by vehicle manufacturer.	AS00.00-Z-0010-01A
	Risk of injury  . Moving parts can pinch, crush or, in extreme cases even sever extremities.	No parts of the body or limbs should be within the operating area of the mechanism when the components are moving.	AS00.00-Z-0009-01A
1	Raise vehicle using vehicle lift until the wheels are clear of the ground
2	Check boots (19m) and upper ball joints (19)	Check boots (19m) for condition, leaktightness and correct seat. Check upper ball joints (19) for play by pulling and pushing firmly on the cross struts (17). If there are problems: ↓ Replace upper ball joints (19) on vehicles without 4MATIC and cross strut (17) on vehicles with 4MATIC, subject to separate repair order.
3	Check boots (18m) and ball joints (18k) of torque struts (18)	Check boots (18m) for condition, leaktightness and correct seat. Check ball joints (18k) for play by pulling and pushing firmly on the torque struts (18). If there are problems: ↓ Replace strut rod (18), subject to separate repair order.
4	Check boots (10m) and ball joints (10k) of link rods (10)	Check boots (10m) for condition, leaktightness and correct seat. Check ball joints (10k) for play by pulling and pushing firmly on the link rods (10). If there are problems: ↓ Replace link rod (10), subject to separate repair order.
5	Lower vehicle
