	Remove/install
1	Notes on self-locking nuts and bolts		AH00.00-N-0001-01A
2	Remove underfloor panels	Rechargeable drill/screwdriver
3	Unscrew nut (2) and, using puller, pry flange ball joint (3) off the steering knuckle (4)	Carefully press off flange ball joint (3). Otherwise the rubber boot may be damaged and the transverse control arm will have to be replaced. Use a Torx wrench (size T40) counterhold threaded pin of flange ball joint (3) when unbolting. : Check rubber boot, if necessary, replace transverse control arm (1). Position the vehicle on its wheels. Only tighten nuts (5) and bolts (10, 11) when the vehicle is unladen (approx. 75 kg weight on the driver seat and a full tank or approx. 20 kg weight in the front passenger area).	*BA32.20-P-1003-02I

4	Unscrew nut (5) and remove retaining clamp (6) from stabilizer bar (8)	The retaining clamp (6) is 2-piece. : Check rubber mounts (7) for damage, and replace if necessary. The opening of the rubber mounts (7) must point in the direction of travel. Insert the retaining clamp (6) at a right angle to the stabilizer bar (8). Screw nut (5) all the way on The nut (5) is tightened later on.
5	Using a suitable tool counterhold the left and right link rod (9) and unscrew the bolts (10, 11)	: Bolts (10, 11) will be tightened again at a later stage.
6	Remove transverse control arm (1)
7	Release link rod (9) from front axle carrier (12) and replace	Only when link rod (9) was damaged during removal.
8	Install in the reverse order
