Persons who wear electronic implants (e.g. cardiac pacemakers), must not carry out any work on high-voltage on-board electrical systems. AS54.00-Z-0001-01A

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Remove transmitter key and mains plug    
2 Remove condenser (1)   AR83.30-P-6540MCC
3 Detach snap clamp (3) INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Replace snap clamp (3).  
4 Pull expansion reservoir (5) with coolant hose (4) from radiator (2) and put to one side IMPORTANT Collect coolant which flows out in a suitable vessel.
INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Inspect coolant hose (4) for damage, replace if necessary.
 
5 Lead out radiator (2) at fan (6) and remove    
6 Unlock electrical connector (9) at fan (6) and disconnect    
7 Unclip clips (7) at fan (6) and put electrical wiring harness (8) to one side SPECIAL TOOL Mounting wedge Fig 3
8 Remove fan (6)    
9 Unscrew nut (12) and take off bracket (11) TORQUE SPECIFICATION Nut, refrigerant lines to expansion valve *BA83.30-P-1004-01L 
10 Unscrew nut (14) and pull bracket (13) forward TORQUE SPECIFICATION Nut, refrigerant lines to expansion valve *BA83.30-P-1004-01L 
11 Pull out refrigerant line (10) at interior air conditioning expansion valve (Y19/1)    
12 Pull out refrigerant line (10) at battery air conditioning expansion valve (Y19/3) and remove NOTES Seal off refrigerant line (10), interior air conditioning expansion valve (Y19/1) and battery air conditioning expansion valve (Y19/3) with suitable stop plugs.
Otherwise, penetrating dirt and moisture will damage the components that are attached to the refrigerant circuit.
 
13 Remove sealing rings at refrigerant line (10)    
REFER TO CAPACITIES & SPECIFICATIONS Compressor oils (specification 362.0) INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Replace sealing rings at refrigerant line (10) and moisten with compressor oil when inserting. MB 362.0 compressor oil A 001 989 08 03
14 Install in the reverse order
