Models 117, 156, 164, 166, 169, 171, 172, 176, 197, 204, 205, 207, 211, 212, 216, 218, 219, 221, 222, 231, 242, 245, 246 and 251 use the ASSYST PLUS developed by Daimler AG. ASSYST PLUS takes account of time and wear-specific maintenance items and any special equipment that are maintenance relevant. ASSYST PLUS automatically calculates here the service scope for the next service.
This means:
- Assignment of additional operations for next service, where they fall due during the time and mileage period between two maintenance visits
- Assignment of additional operations dependent on check limits to enable them to be brought forward in event of approaching due date Irrespective of this, each of the additional operations in the maintenance computer is invoiced separately, to ensure that additional operations are not unnecessarily duplicated, and conducted in two successive services.
The vehicle-specific service sheet for ASSYST PLUS applies for these vehicles.
With manual transmissions, automatic transmissions, transfer cases, front axles and rear axles the "Check fluid level" service item has been replaced by a "Check all visible parts for leaks" item.
In view of the fact that these components are not oil consumers, as is the case for the engine, a loss of oil can occur only to the outside. If any leaks are present, the procedure, as before, is to determine the cause and to rectify it subject to a separate repair order.
