	Remove/install
	Risk of injury caused by fingers being pinched or crushed when removing, installing or aligning hoods, doors, trunk lids, liftgates or sliding roof	Keep body parts and limbs well clear of moving parts.	AS00.00-Z-0011-01A
	Risk of accident caused by vehicle starting off by itself when engine is running. Risk of injury caused by contusions and burns during starting procedure or when working near the engine as it is running	Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving by itself. 1	Remove front engine cover	Do not tilt front engine cover, but lift upwards vertically otherwise the retaining lugs can break off.
2	Unscrew cover from oil filter housing	Replace sealing ring.

3	Screw on test connection (1) with sealing ring to oil filter housing	Check if a seal ring is fitted on the tester cap (1). If not, install a seal ring to prevent leaks.

4	Screw adapter fitting (3) with sealing ring (2) onto test connection (1)

	Checking
6	Check engine oil level and correct if required	The vehicle must be on a level surface otherwise false measurements will occur.
7	Guide temperature sensor for remote thermometer through oil dipstick guide tube into engine oil and read off the engine oil temperature from the remote thermometer		Figure
8	Start the engine and measure oil pressure	Bring engine up to operating temperature (approx. 80 °C). When the throttle is opened, the oil pressure must rise without any delay.

9	Install in the reverse order
10	Check engine oil level and correct if required	The vehicle must be on a level surface otherwise false measurements will occur.
11	Conduct engine test run and check engine for leaks whilst it is running
