Clamping rear spring - AR32.20-P-0200-06EW

DANGER Risk of injury  caused by pinching or crushing  when working on springs or spring bodies that are under tension Use only approved tensioning devices; shield off hazard area if necessary.
Inspect special tools for damage and proper operation (visual inspection).
Wear protective gloves.

INSTALLATION IMPORTANT When inserting the rear spring (44) ensure that the metal plate (7) and rubber ring (8) are correctly seated.

  1. SPECIAL TOOL Insert upper clamping plate (01) and lower clamping plate (SPECIAL TOOL 02) in the rear spring (44).

    IMPORTANTSPECIAL TOOL Insert clamping plates (01, 02) so that as many spring coils as possible are pre-compressed.

  2. SPECIAL TOOL Insert tensioning device (03) from below through the spring control arm (6) into the SPECIAL TOOL clamping plates (01, 02) and latch into the recesses (4) of the upper SPECIAL TOOL lamping plate (01).
  3. Tension rear spring (44).

    NOTES Do not use any impact wrench/driver, otherwise the SPECIAL TOOL tensioning device (03) will be damaged.

  4. Mark position of SPECIAL TOOL clamping plates (01, 02) relative to the rear spring (44) with oil-based chalk.
  5. Relieve the load on rear spring (44).

    IMPORTANT When replacing, transfer the markings to the new rear spring (44).
