Retrofit wiring harness - AZ82.70-P-0001-04EWA

  1. Route black coupling (3) of iPhone wiring harness (4) through opening (arrow A) in rear stowage compartment of center console.

    IMPORTANT The length of the iPhone wiring harness (4) that is located in the rear stowage compartment must be 110 mm.

  2. Route iPhone wiring harness (4), as shown, at center console (11) and fix in place with felt tape.

  3. Open lid of glove compartment.
  4. Connect iPhone wiring harness (7) to media interface electrical connector (X18/70).
  5. Route iPhone wiring harness (7), as shown, and fix in place with felt tape (area A).

    NOTES Ensure that iPhone wiring harness (7) is not damaged by chafing, pinching or crushing, otherwise this must be replaced.

  6. Repeatedly open and close lid of glove compartment to check its unobstructed movement.

    IMPORTANT Reposition iPhone wiring harness (7) if necessary.

  7. Insert and position center console (11).

    IMPORTANT Pay attention to installation position of plugs and couplings at center console (11) so that electrical connections can be made later.

  8. Make electrical connection between black 18-pin coupling (6) of iPhone wiring harness (7) and black 18-pin connector (5) of iPhone wiring harness (4).
  9. Wrap black 18-pin connector (5) of iPhone wiring harness (4) with felt tape and route below floor covering (12).

  10. Make a 5 mm X 5 mm cutout in area shown (arrow B) on cover (13).

  11. Route iPhone wiring harness with black coupling (3) in previously made cutout and position cover (13).
  12. Tighten cover (13) with screw/bolt (arrow C).
  13. Tighten bracket (14) with screw/bolt (15).

  14. Insert cradle (1) into Bluetooth module (A34/7).
  15. Route black connector (2) on right side in rear stowage compartment.
  16. Connect black connector (2) with black coupling (3) of iPhone wiring harness.
  17. Fix black coupling (3) and black connector (2) in place using suitable velcro strip in marked area (arrow D).
