1. Unclip and remove cover (10) of black 18-pin connector (5) at iPhone wiring harness (4) and detach iPhone wiring harness (4) from plug insert (9).

   Do not damage the individual pins, as otherwise it will be impossible to plug them into the plug insert (9) and a new iPhone wiring harness (4) will have to be installed.

   Additionally mark transparent lines with adhesive tape and label according to their contact cavity assignment.

2. Wrap insulation tape around the ends of the lines (arrow A) of the iPhone wiring harness (4).

3. Drill hole (arrow B) with diameter of 9 mm, as shown, at center console (11).

   Cordless drill/driver

4. Guide iPhone wiring harness (4) with previously detached side through hole from inside.

   Do not damage ends of line (arrow A).

5. Route iPhone wiring harness (4), as shown, at center console (11) and fix in place with felt tape.
6. Remove insulation tape from ends of line (arrow A).

7. Plug iPhone wiring harness (4) into plug insert (9).

   Contact cavity assignment: 

   Contact cavity 1 Black

   Contact cavity 2 Clear

   Contact cavity 3 Yellow

   Contact cavity 4 Blue

   Contact cavity 5 Pink

   Contact cavity 6 Orange

   Contact cavities 7 to 9 Not assigned

   Contact cavity 10 Gray

   Contact cavity 11 Clear

   Contact cavity 12 Brown

   Contact cavity 13 Green

   Contact cavity 14 White

   Contact cavity 15 Clear

   Contact cavities 16 to 18 Not assigned

   Assign transparent lines to individual contact cavities according to previously made markings.

8. Slide cover (10) onto plug insert (9) and clip in.
9. Open lid of glove compartment.
10. Connect iPhone wiring harness (7) to media interface electrical connector (X18/70).
11. Route iPhone wiring harness (7), as shown, and fix in place with felt tape (area A).

    Ensure that iPhone wiring harness (7) is not damaged by chafing, pinching or crushing, otherwise this must be replaced.

12. Repeatedly open and close lid of glove compartment to check its unobstructed movement.

    Reposition iPhone wiring harness (7) if necessary.

13. Insert and position center console (11).

    Pay attention to installation position of plugs and couplings at center console (11) so that electrical connections can be made later.

14. Make electrical connection between black 18-pin coupling (6) of iPhone wiring harness (7) and black 18-pin connector (5) of iPhone wiring harness (4).
15. Wrap black 18-pin connector (5) of iPhone wiring harness (4) with felt tape and route below floor covering (12).

16. Insert cradle (1) in Bluetooth module (A34/7) and connect black connector (2) of cradle (1) with black coupling (3) of iPhone wiring harness (4).
