Connection scheme
Routing diagram
- Release and remove lock (7.1) of black carrier element at vehicle/cellular telephone system splitter antenna line (7).
- Release vehicle/cellular telephone system splitter antenna line (7) at black carrier element (arrow A) and remove black carrier element.
- Insert vehicle/cellular telephone system splitter antenna line (7) into violet carrier element and install lock (7.1).
The violet carrier element is included in the parts kit.
- Release and remove lock (9.1) of black carrier element at cellular telephone system splitter/vehicle antenna line (9).
- Release cellular telephone system splitter/vehicle antenna line (9) at black carrier element (arrow B) and remove black carrier element.
- Insert vehicle/cellular telephone system splitter antenna line (9) into violet carrier element and install lock (9.1).
- Expose mobile phone electrical connector beneath center console (10).
- Fold back foam sheath (11) and disconnect mobile phone electrical connector.
- Lift center console (10) and support with an
assembly wedge (12) as shown.
- Route cellular telephone system splitter/InCar Hotspot control unit antenna line (8) beneath rear floor covering (14) in a central position on the propeller shaft tunnel to the center console (10).
- Affix felt tape to cellular telephone system splitter (2), as shown.
- Plug black connector of cellular telephone system splitter/InCar Hotspot control unit antenna line (8) onto plug (arrow C) at cellular telephone system splitter (2).
- Position cellular telephone system splitter (2) below center console (10), lift center console (10) and remove
The cellular telephone system splitter (2) and the electrical lines routed in the center console (10) must be positioned with sufficient distance from the attachment points of the center console.
Otherwise, these can be damaged when the center console (10) is secured.
- Connect violet connector of vehicle/cellular telephone system splitter antenna line (7) and violet plug (15) of mobile phone electrical connector.
- Connect violet plug of cellular telephone system splitter/vehicle antenna line (9) and violet connector (16) of mobile phone electrical connector and fold back foam sheath (11).
- Stow all manufactured electrical connectors in the center console (10).
- Route cellular telephone system splitter/InCar Hotspot control unit antenna line (8) to left backrest in rear and attach to body using strips of felt tape.
- Release left backrest in rear and fix in place folded forward at an angle of approx. 45°.
- Route cellular telephone system splitter/InCar Hotspot control unit antenna line (8) beneath left backrest in rear into the load compartment and fix in place with felt tape.

- Route cellular telephone system splitter/InCar Hotspot control unit antenna line (8) behind C-pillar reinforcement to installation location of InCar Hotspot control unit (1) as shown and fix in place using cable ties.
- Position bracket (17) and secure with nuts (18).
- Position InCar Hotspot control unit (1) at bracket (17) and secure with screws/bolts (19).
- Fit violet coupling of cellular telephone system splitter/InCar Hotspot control unit antenna line (8) to connector (arrow D) at InCar Hotspot control unit (1).
- Connect white 4-pin coupling (3) at InCar Hotspot control unit (1).
- Route power supply wiring harness (6) along existing lines as shown and fix in place using cable ties.
- Release right backrest in rear and fix in place folded forward at an angle of approx. 45°.
- Route power supply wiring harness (6) along existing lines to rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2) as shown and fix in place with cable ties and strips of felt tape.
- Install red line (RD) in contact cavity "1" of black 2-pin connector (4).
- Insert black 2-pin connector (4) into slot "10R" (arrow E) on rear of rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2).

In vehicles with existing blue fuse holder (5).
Release and remove blue fuse holder (5) at rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2).

Remove blue fuse holder (5) from parts kit.

- Install black line (BK) in contact cavity "4" (arrow F) of blue fuse holder (5).
- Insert and lock blue fuse holder (5) in slot "13A" at the rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2).
- Insert electrical fuse 55 (N10/2f55) into blue fuse holder (5) and electrical fuse 91 (N10/2f91) in the rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2).
- Route brown line (BN) along existing wiring harnesses, depending on assignment, to the right rear wheel arch ground point (W7) or to the right wheel arch trunk ground point (W7/8) and fix in place with cable ties.
- 35 Attach brown line (BN) to right rear wheel arch ground point (W7) or right wheel arch trunk ground point (W7/8)

- Strap down excess length of brown line (BN) and fix in place at existing wiring harness.
