2.1	Remove wheel balance weights with retaining clip (43a) using assembly tool	For wheel balance weights with retaining clamp (43a).

2.2	Remove bonded wheel balance weights (43b, 43c) using removal tool	With bonded wheel balance weights (43b, 43c). Do not use hard, pointed or sharp-edged tools. Otherwise damage to the surface of the disk wheels can occur.

	Clean
3	Clean complete wheels	Dirt must be removed from tire or disk wheel before balancing. Otherwise, it can cause false measurement results when balancing.
	Perform stationary balancing of wheel-and-tire assemblies
4	Mount pilot bushing		AR40.10-P-1040-01A
5	Fasten wheel-and-tire assemblies to stationary balancing machine and balance them	Pay attention to manufacturer's operating instructions. Use bonded wheel balance weights (43b, 43c) for cramped installation conditions. The residual imbalance on one side of a wheel must not exceed 10 g.

	Perform dynamic balancing of wheel and tire assemblies
7	Deactivate Electronic Stability Program (ESP®)	In order to deactivate the Electronic Stability Program (ESP®), follow the owner's manual of the vehicle. The ESP warning lamp® in the instrument cluster must light up.
8	Close vehicle doors and trunk lid or liftgate

10	Balance tire and wheel assemblies with dynamic balancing machine on vehicle	Drive rear wheel and tire assemblies using vehicle engine only. Otherwise the differential may be damaged. Pay attention to manufacturer's operating instructions. Only wheel and tire assemblies may be dynamically balanced that have undergone stationary balancing beforehand.
11	Activate ESP®	In order to activate the Electronic Stability Program (ESP®), follow the owner's manual of the vehicle. The ESP warning lamp® in the instrument cluster may not light up.
