Elastomer bearing variants
Fit dust boots on hydro-mounts (Fig 1) only.
Assembly is not envisaged on conventional elastomer bearings (Fig 1).
The dust boots (18e) are not fitted ex factory. During repair work on the strut rods (18) or hydro-mounts (18d), the dust boots (18e) must be fitted in order to protect the hydro-mounts (18d).
- Only slide the dust boots (18e) over the bearing core and the bearing outer race of the hydro-mount (18d).
Fit dust boots (18e) flush to strut rod (18) (arrows).
