Automatically regulated all-wheel drive (4MATIC) torque distribution - GF28.00-P-0001-02AV

The double planet gear set (3) acts as a planet gear differential between the front and rear axle via which the engine torque is distributed.

The gear ratio is designed so that 55% of the engine torque is transmitted to the rear axle and 45% is transmitted to the front axle.
