Component description for the radio - GF82.60-P-3122FLM

Location 

The radio is centrally located in the instrument panel.

Tasks 

Central control unit for the entertainment and communication systems integrated into the vehicle 

The radio provides the user with a structured and standard user interface for the following system components:

IMPORTANT The user interface is shown on the Audio/COMAND display. The "Vehicle functions" menu can be used to display and control equipment-specific content and functions of additional systems (e.g. climate control, seat adjustments) on the Audio/COMAND display.

The navigation functions can be used via a voice control system integrated in the navigation system.

Reading in of input signals as well as actuation of output media and system components 

The radio sends and receives signals via the following connections:

CAN 

The radio is a subscriber of the telematics CAN (CAN A) and the interior CAN (CAN B):

Media Oriented System Transport (MOST) 

The radio exchanges data with the following control units over MOST:

Ethernet 

The radio is connected to the diagnostic connector (X11/4) via the Ethernet.

Direct line 

The radio is equipped with the following direct connections:
