Install upper front longitudinal member - AR62.20-P-1286-03EW

  1. Install upper front longitudinal member (1), lower front longitudinal member (2) and front longitudinal member reinforcement (3), fit with SPECIAL TOOL welding device and fix in place.
  2. Drill Ø 6.5 mm rivet holes on upper front longitudinal member (1), lower front longitudinal member (2) and front longitudinal member reinforcement (3) (areas A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, J and K).
  3. Countersunk rivet holes (areas I and J).
  4. Tack weld lower front longitudinal member (2) and front longitudinal member reinforcement (3) SHIELDED GAS PLUG WELD (area W).
  5. Remove upper front longitudinal member (1), lower front longitudinal member (2) and front longitudinal member reinforcement (3).
  6. Deburr rivet holes on both sides
  7. Lower front longitudinal member (2) and front longitudinal member reinforcement (3) POLARIZATION RESISTANCE SINGLE-ROW SPOT WELD (areas X, Y and Z).

  8. Apply 2-component adhesive on body in crosshatched areas.

    IMPORTANT Observe pretreatment of bonding surfaces.

    IMPORTANT Refer to the manufacturer's information for the curing and working times of 2-component adhesive.

  9. Install upper front longitudinal member (1), fit and fix in place.
  10. Rivet upper front longitudinal member (1) with Ø 6.4X14 Polygrip flat/round head rivets (areas G and H).
  11. Rivet upper front longitudinal member (1) with Ø 6.4X14 Polygrip countersunk head rivets (area I).
  12. Upper front longitudinal member (1) POLARIZATION RESISTANCE SINGLE-ROW SPOT WELD (areas L, M and N).
  13. Attach fender bracket (4) and fit.
  14. Drill Ø 6.5 mm rivet holes on fender bracket (4) (area O).
  15. Remove fender bracket (4) and deburr rivet holes on both sides.
  16. Install fender bracket (4), fit and fix in place.
  17. Rivet fender bracket (4) with Ø 6.4 14 Polygrip flat/round head rivets (area O).

    Dimensions: 

    a approx. 33 mm

  18. Apply 2-component adhesive on body in crosshatched areas.

    IMPORTANT Observe pretreatment of bonding surfaces.

    IMPORTANT Refer to the manufacturer's information for the curing and working times of 2-component adhesive.

  19. Install lower front longitudinal member (2) and front longitudinal member reinforcement (3) fit and fix in place.
  20. Rivet lower front longitudinal member (2) and front longitudinal member reinforcement (3) with Ø 6.4 14 Polygrip flat/round head rivets (areas A, B, C, D, E, F and K).
  21. Lower front longitudinal member (2) and front longitudinal member reinforcement (3) with Ø 6.4 14 Polygrip countersunk head rivets (area J).
  22. Lower front longitudinal member (2) and front longitudinal member reinforcement (3) POLARIZATION RESISTANCE SINGLE-ROW SPOT WELD (areas P and Q)
  23. Clean weld joints.
  24. Remove shavings and drill chips.
