Install front crankshaft radial seal - AR03.20-P-3000-01SXI

Deburr edge of mounting bore for the crankshaft radial sealing ring (8) at timing case cover (10).
Insert crankshaft radial sealing ring (8) into the timing case cover (10) and press lightly.
Do not use grease. Grease prevents the inclined webs on sealing lip transporting back the engine oil.

Do not oil lip of radial sealing ring (8). Do not moisten crankshaft journal with oil.
Push centering sleeve (9) onto the crankshaft.
Turn to ensure that groove on centering sleeve (9) is aligned with parallel key (7) in crankshaft.

Insert centering sleeve (9) with center bolt (4) and washer (5) up to the stop.
The crankshaft radial sealing ring (8) must be positioned at right angles to the crank journal otherwise proper sealing is not assured.
