Install front crankshaft radial seal - AR03.20-P-3000-01CD

Push radial shaft sealing ring (1) from the right, as shown, onto the insertion tool (2a).
The sealing lip (1d) and the protective lip (1s) of the radial shaft sealing ring (1) must point to the left. Place radial shaft sealing ring (1) again if this is not the case.

The radial shaft sealing ring (1) and the contact surface on crankshaft journal must be free of oil and grease. Grease prevents the inclined webs on sealing lip (1d) transporting back the engine oil.

Check sealing surface for the radial shaft sealing ring (1) on end cover (3) for ridging.
Deburr sealing surface if necessary.
Place insertion device (2a) on the crankshaft and tighten down with the two screw/bolts.

Place insertion device (2) on the insertion device (2a) and screw on nut.
Align bores in insertion device (2) to the screw/bolts of the insertion device (2a).
Install radial shaft sealing ring (1) using insertion device (2).
Screw on nut further and pull in radial shaft sealing ring (1) until the insertion device (2) lies on the end cover (3).
The radial shaft sealing ring (1) must be flush touching the end cover (3).

There will be no perfect sealing achieved otherwise.

Ensure that radial shaft sealing ring (1) has been pulled in equally over the whole circumference.
Remove screw/bolts for insertion device (2a) alternately out of the crankshaft and remove insertion device (2).
