Assign piston to the cylinder bore.
Piston diameters are specified in two tolerances. The piston diameters are distinguished from each other by an X or Z marking. This is located on the top of the piston crown. Pistons marked with X must only be installed in cylinder bores marked with X . Pistons marked with Z must only be installed in cylinder bores marked with ⓧ.

Cylinder bore diameters are specified in two tolerances. Cylinder bore diameters are distinguished from each other by an X or ⓧ. These are located on the crankcase in the area of the oil pan sealing surface.
