NOTES Connecting rod (2) and connecting rod bearing cap (1) are cracked (broken). They must not be swapped over with each other or installed the wrong way round.

The dimensional accuracy will no longer be obtained otherwise.

IMPORTANT When installing new connecting rods (2) and new piston (3) observe the following installation instructions. Since the new piston is delivered without a travel direction arrow the edge of the piston (arrow a) and the connecting rod groove (arrow b) for the connecting rod bearing (2a) during installation.

Assignment of pistons (3) cylinder 1. to 4.

IMPORTANT When assembling the piston (3) and connecting rod (2) the cast in piston edge (arrow a) and the connecting rod groove (arrow b), the connecting rod bearing shell (2a) must be laid in aligned to each other as shown in the picture.

IMPORTANT Compare positions of the arrows in the right picture with positions of the arrows in the next picture.
