Remove/install bottom part of oil pan - AR01.45-P-7555CMG

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
DANGER Risk of death  caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform. Align vehicle between columns of vehicle lift and position four support plates at vehicle lift support points specified by vehicle manufacturer. AS00.00-Z-0010-01A
1 Remove bottom engine compartment paneling INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Only install lower engine compartment paneling after engine test run and leak test.  
2 Drain engine oil IMPORTANT Collect the oil for possible reuse.  
REFER TO MAINTENANCE Engine oil and filter change Model 204 AP18.00-P-0101CMG
3 Disconnect electrical connector (4) at oil level check switch (S43)    
4 Remove bolts (2) on oil pan bottom section (1) TORQUE SPECIFICATION *BA01.45-P-1003-01R 
5 Pry off oil pan bottom section (1) from oil pan (3) and remove NOTES Insert a bolt to pry off oil pan bottom section (1) from oil pan (3) and use an assembly wedge to loosen from the oil pan (3). Do not damage the sealing surfaces of oil pan bottom section (1) and oil pan (3).
IMPORTANT If oil pan bottom section (1) cannot be loosened from oil pan (3), heat oil pan bottom section (1) in the area around the sealing surfaces using a hot air gun.

    INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Observe application of sealant to oil pan bottom section (1).

    Loctite sealant 5970 *BR00.45-Z-1013-01A 
CLEAN Clean     
6 Clean the sealing surfaces on oil pan bottom section (1) and oil pan (3). NOTES Do not use any sharp-edged tools or abrasive paper as this will damage the sealing surfaces. AR01.00-P-0050-01A
    Loctite 7200 *BR00.45-Z-1038-04A 
    Cleaning spray, Loctite 7063 (150ml) *BR00.45-Z-1046-04A 
7 Install in the reverse order    
8 Check engine oil level and correct if required    
REFER TO MAINTENANCE Engine oil and filter change Model 204 AP18.00-P-0101CMG
DANGER
9		 Risk of accident  caused by vehicle starting off by itself when engine is running. Risk of injury  caused by contusions and burns during starting procedure or when working near the engine as it is running
Conduct engine test run and check engine for leaks whilst it is running		 Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving by itself.
Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes.
Do not touch hot or rotating parts.		 AS00.00-Z-0005-01A
