Reset service indicator - AP00.20-P-0042EW

1 Close engine hood MODEL 207, 212, 218  
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR Opening engine hood, moving to upright position and closing MODEL 207, 212 AR88.40-P-1000EW
2 Close doors and trunk lid or liftgate    
3 Turn transmitter key in electronic ignition lock control unit to position "1" IMPORTANT The standard display (kilometer counter) must appear in the multifunction display (A1p13), if necessary press scroll forwards and back button (S110s1) repeatedly.  
4 Press the system selection button (S110s3) repeatedly until the menu item "trip" with highlighter is stored in the multifunction display (A1p13) IMPORTANT "Trip" remains selected for approx. 5 s. Operation step 5 must be carried out within this time.  
5 First press and hold down Accept and end phone call button (S111s3) and then within 1 s also press and hold down OK button (S110s6) for approx. 5 seconds IMPORTANT The workshop menu with the "Vehicle data", "Dynamometer test" and "ASSYST PLUS" tabs appears in the multifunction display (A1p13).  
6 Press scroll forward/back button (S110s1) repeatedly until "ASSYST PLUS" is highlighted and confirm selection by pressing OK button (S110s6) IMPORTANT The indexes "Service data" and "Full service" (A1p13) appear in the multifunction display.  
7 Press scroll forward/back button (S110s1) to highlight "Full service" and then confirm selection by pressing OK button (S110s6) IMPORTANT The current service items appear in the multifunction display (A1p13).  
8 Press scroll forward/back button (S110s1) repeatedly until "Confirm serv." is highlighted in the multifunction display (A1p13) and confirm selection by pressing OK button (S110s6) IMPORTANT "Service carried out?" or the oil selection appears in the multifunction display (A1p13).  
9 Select specification of used engine oil using scroll forward button of the scroll forward/back button (S110s1) and confirm selection by pressing OK button (S110s6) IMPORTANT In order to achieve the maximum kilometer interval, engine oil for gasoline engines must be used and confirmed as per Specifications for Operating Fluids 229.5 and engine oil for diesel engines must be used and confirmed as per Specifications for Operating Fluids 229.51.  
10 Press scroll forward/back button (S110s1) until "Yes" is highlighted and confirm selection by pressing OK button (S110s6) IMPORTANT "No take-back possible" appears in the multifunction display (A1p13).  
11 Press scroll forward/back button (S110s1) until "Confirmation" is highlighted and confirm selection by pressing OK button (S110s6) IMPORTANT "Full service carried out" appears in the multifunction display (A1p13).  
12 Press the OK button (S110s6) and press the "Back" and VCS OFF (S110s4) button repeatedly until the multifunction display (A1p13) shows the standard display (kilometer counter)    
13 Turn transmitter key in electronic ignition lock control unit to position "0"
