The bonding area must be free of dust and grease. Otherwise the adhesive force of the adhesive material starts to decrease.
When damaged to a degree of ≤ 10 % it is possible to repair with primer stick. If damage is 10 % coat body flange with primer filler. Otherwise corrosion damage may occur.
Use only primer filler and primer sticks approved by Daimler AG.

It is necessary to use the components of the corresponding repair kit.
- Level residual adhesive material on body flange (1) down to a height of approx. 2 mm using suitable scraper and remove loose adhesive material.
- Clean working area.
- Clean bonding area (2) on body flange (1) with cleaner and rub dry with dry cloth.
- Repair paint damage in bonding area (2) and on body flange (1) with primer stick or primer filler.
Observe the manufacturer's specifications for the curing and processing time of the primer filler.
- Apply primer to areas of body flange (1) where no remaining or damaged adhesive is present.
The primer must flash off for at least 10 min. Otherwise the adhesive force of the adhesive material starts to decrease.
