Retrofit rear mud guards - AZ88.30-P-0003-04EW

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 33 other vehicles, including the 2016 Mercedes-Benz E63 S AMG, 2016 Mercedes-Benz E400, 2016 Mercedes-Benz E350, 2016 Mercedes-Benz E300, and 2016 Mercedes-Benz E250. MODEL 212.0 (except 212.074/077) up to 4/13/13, 212.1 up to 4/13/13, 212.2 (except 212.274/277) up to 4/13/13 up to model year 2014 except CODE 772 (AMG styling package - front spoiler, side skirts and rear apron) except CODE 950 (AMG Sports package) 

  1. Drill hole (arrow) on rear right mud guard (2.1) with Ø 9 mm.

    IMPORTANT In vehicles with single-pipe muffler system.

    IMPORTANT The following steps are shown on the left side of the vehicle on model 212.0. Install on the right side of vehicle as well as on model 212.1/2 in the same manner.

  2. Clean rear bumper in cross-hatched area with specified cleaning agent.

    IMPORTANT Rear bumper must be dry, free of dust and grease in cross-hatched area.

  3. Unscrew bolts (3, 4) on fender liner and rear bumper.

    IMPORTANT On vehicles with single-pipe exhaust system an expansion rivet is installed in addition on the right side of the vehicle in the area below the sheet metal screw (4); it must also be removed.

  4. Loosen protective foil on adhesive strips on rear mud guards (2) from corners and position so that ends of protective foil extend beyond outer edge of rear mud guards (2).

    IMPORTANT Do not remove protective foil on adhesive strips completely.

  5. Position rear mud guard (2) on rear bumper as shown in figure.
  6. Screw bolt (4) into fender liner.

  7. Screw in self tapping screw (7).
  8. Position rear mud guards (2) on rear fender as shown in figure and fasten with clips (8).

    IMPORTANT On vehicles with single-pipe exhaust system, install the previously removed expansion rivet on the right side of the vehicle instead of the self-tapping sheet metal screw (7).

    IMPORTANT A barb (8.1) is present on the clips (8) for the rear mud guards (2) on both sides.

  9. Screw bolt (3) into rear bumper.
  10. Remove entire protective foil from adhesive strips on rear mud guards (2) and uniformly press adhesive strips against rear bumper (2).
