Install spoiler on front bumper - AZ88.20-P-0010-02EWM

  1. Clean bonding surfaces on bumper.

    IMPORTANT The area to be glued must be free of dust and grease.

  2. Remove expansion rivets (2 and 3) from bumper.

  3. Remove protective foil from ends of adhesive strip on left bracket (4) or right bracket (5) and bend up at angle of 90°.
  4. Install left bracket (4) and right bracket (5) on vehicle.

    IMPORTANT Position expansion rivets (6), however, do not yet fasten.

  5. Remove protective foil on adhesive strip from left bracket (4) or right bracket (5) and firmly press on.
  6. Press in expansion rivets (6).

  7. Position left bracket (4) and right bracket (5) with adhesive tape (7) (arrow).
  8. Install front spoiler (1) and align on vehicle.

    IMPORTANT Helper required to assemble front spoiler (1).

  9. Align left bracket (4) or right bracket (5) on front spoiler (1).

    IMPORTANT The holes in the front spoiler (1) should coincide with the holes in the left bracket (4) and right bracket (5) (arrows).

  10. Press on adhesive strips (7).
  11. Remove front spoiler (1).

  12. Drill Ø 6 mm holes (8) in bumper.

    NOTES Do not drill too deeply.

    Otherwise the components below can be damaged.

  13. Fasten left bracket (4) and right bracket (5) to bumper with aid of expansion rivets.

    IMPORTANT Remove adhesive tape (7).

  14. Remove protective foil from ends of adhesive strip on front spoiler (1) and bend up at angle of 90°.
  15. Lay front spoiler (1) on bumper and align.

    IMPORTANT Helper required to assemble front spoiler (1).

  16. Press in expansion rivets (9).
  17. Remove protective foil starting at center to both sides in increments of 15 to 20 cm and firmly press on front spoiler (1).

    NOTES When removing protective foils from front spoiler (1), slightly press toward front with long wedge SPECIAL TOOL .

    Otherwise the protective foils can tear.

    NOTES When pressing on, press directly on adhesive strips on front spoiler (1).

    Otherwise adhesion problems can occur.

    IMPORTANT Ensure that the front spoiler (1) is pressed on horizontally (arrows).

    IMPORTANT The maximum adhesive force is reached after approx. 72 hours at 20 °C. Avoid any contact with moisture (e.g. frost, rain, fog, carwash) within the first 24 hours. Prevent any mechanical stress.
